Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly perform continuous in-carrying of paper sheets by constituting a device of two or more spirals in the same direction alternately arranging deceleration conveying means, in case of the device which deceleratively conveys the paper sheets, continuously carried in along guide members, by the deceleration conveying means to be accumulated. CONSTITUTION:An in-carried mail 2 is held in its point end part 2a by edges 1a, 13a of the first and second guide members 1, 13 and a point P on the first spiral 22, being decelerated. In the midst of this deceleration, the second spiral 23, while rotating, feeds out the mail 2 to the right direction in such a manner as to pat the mail on its rear part side. That is, by deflecting the mail 2 in the right direction while decelerating, the following mail 2 is prevented from being adapted to the rear end part of the preceding mail 2. Further the first and second spirals 22, 23 perform a role of decelerating the mail 2 and that of extruding it to be changed in very half cycle. Thus preventing the following mail 2 from adapting its point end and a jam from being generated, the mail can be well accumulated.
