CONSTITUTION:The above ceiling material has a ceiling base material 13 formed of material obtained by impregnating flexible cellular plastic having an open cell structure with hard synthetic resin, the upper surface 13A of which is molded in such a manner as to closely adhere to the inner surface of a panel 11, the lower surface 13B thereof being molded to be a ceiling surface of a designated form. This molding is usually performed by applying hot press. A facing material 12 is stuck to the lower surface 13B of the ceiling base material 13 to obtain a desired ceiling material. The facing material 12 is formed by putting polyester cotton impregnated with synthetic resin and colored in a designated color on the top of the ceiling base material 13 at the time of molding and press-fitted to the ceiling base material 13 simultaneously with molding.
