Abstract
PURPOSE:To set the generation loss of a protective circuit to be zero and enhance responding property to excess current, by connecting a superconducting unit in series, to a semiconductor element to be protected. CONSTITUTION:To a semiconductor element 2 for protecting from excess current, a superconducting unit 1 is contrived to be connected in series. In such a case, till the superconducting unit 1 exceeds a critical current density, a resistance value is set to be zero, and so power loss in a normal state can be avoided. Besides, when the unit 1 exceeds the critical current density, then the superconducting unit 1 is to immediately have the resistance value like a normally conducting unit, and so the excess current can be suppressed in good responding property.
