CONSTITUTION:The horizontal deflecting electrode to deflect an electron beam in a horizontal direction is divided into plural numbers 60-62, and memories 36-38 to generate deflecting voltages for driving respective horizontal deflecting electrodes 60-62 respectively and independently, circuits 45-47 to latch memory data, D/A converters 48-50, amplifying circuits 51-53 and driving circuits 54-59 are provided. Circuits 66 and 67 to detect either or both of the temperatures of the temperature screens of the electrodes 60-62 and a control circuit 34 to control deflecting electrode voltages according to the detection temperatures are provided. Thus, a difference in an expansion due to the temperature change of the electrodes of a picture display device and screens can be corrected, and the true color and picture reproductions can be executed.
