Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric actuator which have lead wires with a high fracture strength by a method wherein flexible resin is applied to the soldered part of the electrode lead wire of the piezoelectric actuator so as to cover the area wider than the soldered area and to have the coating thickness larger than the diameter of the lead wire and the soldered part of the lead wire is covered with silicone rubber. CONSTITUTION:An enamelled wire which is used as a lead wire 13 is attached to the lead attaching surface of a piezoelectric actuator vertically to it by soldering. Room-temperature-cured type silicone rubber is applied to the soldered part 12. The reference numeral 22 denotes the situation of bending of the lead wire at the lead wire attaching part. When a bending stress is applied, a larger radius of curvature at the joint is provided. Therefore, the work hardening of the lead wire caused by plastic deformation is not produced or is produced only little and the bending strength of the lead wire is improved.
