Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain various adjustments without using an external signal generator by generating an adjusting signal such as a sinusoidal wave or trapezoidal wave from a variable voltage generator being an offset correction signal generator of an automatic focus/automatic tracking control circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an output of a control means 1 is in the gain adjusting mode, a voltage generator 2 outputs a sinusoidal wave of a prescribed frequency via a resistor R1 or/and R2 and the gain of control circuits 34, 36 of AF or/and AT is adjusted by adjusting a variable resistor VR1 or/and VR2. When the output of the means 1 is in the diffraction grating adjusting mode, the voltage generator 2 gives an offset correction signal of the AF control circuit to the resistor R1 and a prescribed trapezoidal wave signal for diffraction grating adjustment to the R2 so as to adjust the diffraction grating to obtain the tracking error signal in the best state. Thus, the spot controller applying various adjustments without using an external signal generator is obtained.
