Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a switching element from being broken down by static electricity, by providing a simulated wiring having an electric capacity by crossing through an insulating layer to one end of a line electrode line zone and a raw electrode line zone, on an active matrix array substrate. CONSTITUTION:A switching element c11 and a picture element electrode d11 are provided on an intersection of plural pieces of line electrode lines a1-a6 and plural pieces of raw electrode lines b1-b7 for crossing the line electrode lines. Also, this device is provided with simulated wirings 13a-13d for executing the capacity coupling by crossing through an insulating layer to both ends of a line electrode line zone 11 consisting of continuous line electrode lines and a raw electrode line zone 12 consisting of continuous row electrode lines, and inserting and holding the line electrode zone 11 or the row electrode zone 12. The electric capacity consisting of the simulated wirings 13a-13d is apt to be broken down by static electricity. For instance, the charge is injected instead of the electric capacity held by a bus line in which mounting electrodes of a1, b1, etc. are positioned at the end, therefore, these bus lines can be protected from static electricity.
