Abstract

CONSTITUTION:Simulated wiring 13a-13h which are not coupled DC-electrically to a picture element electrode at both ends of a row electrode line zone 11 consisting of continuous row electrode lines and a column electrode line zone 12 consisting of continuous column electrode lines, brought to capacity coupling to a counter electrode at least in one part, and held sandwiched with the line electrode line zone 11 or the row electrode zone 12 are provided on an active matrix array substrate. Accordingly, the charge of static electricity can be injected to the electric capacity more easily than to the row electrode line or the column electrode line, therefore, a switching element provided in a panel can be protected from static electricity.
