Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical strength and chemical stability of the inside surface of a reaction tube for automatic chemical analysis by forming a diamond coating layer on the inside surface of said reaction tube. CONSTITUTION:The diamond coating layer 16 is formed on the inside surface of the hard glass part 15 of the reaction tube 11 for automatic chemical analysis which is formed of hard glass to a bottomed cylindrical shape by subjecting the inside surface of the hard glass part of the reaction tube 11 to diamond coating. Since the mechanical strength and chemical stability of the inside surface 14 are thereby improved, the flawing of the inside surface by rotation of a stirring bar is obviated. The chemical change of the inside surface by cleaning is obviated even if the surface is cleaned by using a cleaning liquid contg. an acid or alkali.
