Abstract

PURPOSE:To obviate the need for a liquid receiver and control the generation of flush gas in a liquid pipe by a method wherein in a consenser a condensing part for a refrigerant gas and a liquid storage part to store the condensed refrigerant are formed and a cooling means for condensing the refrigerant and a cooling means for supercooling the refrigerant are installed at the condensing part for the refrigerant gas and the liquid storage part respectively. CONSTITUTION:Gravity type heat pies are used as a basic structure and at a high place a condenser 1 is placed and at a low place air conditioning units are placed in forming groups. Between the condenser 1 and the units 2 a circulation cycle is formed by a liquid pipe 3 in which the refrigerant in a liquid phase flows down by its gravity and a gas pipe 4 in which the refrigerant in a liquid phase is raised up by a gas pressure. Cold water is introduced into a liquid storage part 7 to cool the refrigerant liquid to a desired supercooling degree and then flows into a condensing part 6 for a refrigerant gas. The cold water flowing into the part 6 exchanges heat with the refrigerant gas to condense the gas and then returns back to a cold heat source device 5. Consequently, the part 7 of the condenser 1 provides the function of a liquid receiver in the condenser 1 and also prepares the function to supercool the refrigerant liquid stored therein and prevent the generation of a large amount of flush gas.
