Abstract

PURPOSE: To always smoothly open or close a door by installing a strain sensor to convert a mechanical strain of a guide rail to an electric signal and controlling either the braking force or the driving force for the opening or closing motion of the door to be in an appropriate value corresponding to the door weight. CONSTITUTION: This opening/closing controller for an automatic opening/closing door is constituted of a guide rail 10 guiding the door 20 while hanging it, a strain sensor 17 to be installed at a position where a strain caused by the weight of the door 20 is apt to arise, and a control block 15 controlling the opening or closing motion of the door 20. The mechanical strain generated in the guide rail 10, resulting from the door weight is converted to an electric signal by the strain sensor 17 to control either braking force or driving force of the opening/closing motion of the door 20 to be an appropriate value corresponding to the door 20 weight. In this way, the door can be smoothly opened/ closed by only hanging the door 20 and hence, an automatic opening/closing door can be easily and efficiently installed.
