Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a fire or the burn of a human body due to the fire by stopping arc discharge in a case of a fall, by mounting a fall safety apparatus consisting of a sensing means for sensing the fall of a carbon arc treatment device and a circuit control means for stopping arc discharge by the sensing of the sensing means. CONSTITUTION:A carbon arc treatment device is constituted so that a current flowing by arc discharge is detected by a current detection circuit and compared by a comparing circuit and the distance between carbon electrode rods is adjusted on the basis of the difference between a set value and a measured value by a feed roller. For example, a sensing means is formed by allowing a weight to be one-sided to one part of a float body 27 and received in a transparent container 29 filled with a liquid to move the heavy part of the float body 27 to a gravity direction by the fall of the carbon arc treatment device. By this method, a transparent position before fall is shifted and the light from a light source 25 is blocked to form a state not sensed by a light receiving sensor 26 and a circuit control means is operated to stop arc discharge.
