Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an intraocular lens capable of changing lens refractive power by changing the surface shape of an optical part by substantially changing a band length, by providing a clamp member to the outer peripheral part of the optical part and arranging a member extensible and contractible by heating to at least a part of the clamp member. CONSTITUTION:Two support loops 2 extending to the periphery are provided to an optical part 1 formed of an elastic optical material and a clamp band 3 is provided to the outer peripheral part of the optical part 1 and a part 4 extensible and contractible by heat is provided to a part of the clamp band 3. A spring member 5 is sealed in the heat extensible and contractible part 4 and, when this part 4 is heated by laser beam, said part extends and contracts by the repulsion of the spring member 5. This heat-deformable part 4 is pref. formed from a material having good heat absorbability from the aspect of efficiency. By this method, the radius of curvature of a lens surface can be changed and the error of the refractive power of an intraocular lens or a refraction error including cornea astigmatism finely changed by operation can be corrected.
