Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an intraocular lens capable of changing refractive power during or after operation, by providing an optical part formed of an elastic optical material, the notch part provided to a part of the surface of the optical part and a ligature member legating the notch part. CONSTITUTION:This lens is formed from an optical part 1 formed of an elastic optical material, two loops 2 extending from the optical part 1 to the periphery, the notch part 3a provided to the surface of the optical part 1 concentrically and a plurality of ligature members 4a connecting the notch part 3a and the surface of the optical part 1 is held to a predetermined shape. A spring material 5 is embedded in the ligature member 4a composed of the elastic optical material and the ligature members 4a are stretched by the force of the spring material 5 by imparting heat to said members 4a and the notch interval of the notch part 3a is widened to make it possible to change the refractive power of the lens. That is, when the ligature members 4a are heated by laser beam after operation, the refractive power of the intraocular lens can be freely changed inclusive of a degree of astigmatism. Therefore, even when the correction error of a refractive index is generated by operation, a desired refraction corrected value can be always obtained.
