Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically attain degaussing even when the display device revises the direction by providing a device detecting the turning of the display device and a tuning detection/relay drive circuit operated by a signal from the detection device so as to apply automatic degaussing every turning of the display device. CONSTITUTION:In turning the display device, the turning is detected by a turning detection device 9. A turning detection relay drive circuit 6 amplifies a signal in receiving a signal from the turning detection device 7, drives relay drives or 1-2secs and restores to the original state. Then the acceptance of signal is rejected for several tens of seconds afterwards. When the direction of the display device is changed during operation, a signal comes from a position detector 8 of the turning detection device 7 in response to the turning angle and the turning detection relay drive circuit 6 drives the relay in response to the signal to open the relay contact 6'. With the relay contact 6' opened, a relay drive circuit 4 with a timer is turned off and a current flows to the degaussing coil 5 through a thermister 10 to apply degaussing.
