Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the fatigue strength and to extend the service life by assembling in a cylindrical shape the three equally divided parts which is composed of a sintered hard metal or ceramic and whose sectional shape is segmental and storing them in a case by press fit or shrinkage fit. CONSTITUTION:The nib 21 of a sintered hard alloy or ceramic and divided in a segmental shape is formed. These nib 21 are stored in a case 22 by press fit or shrinkage fit after assembling them in a cylindrical shape. With the composition like this, the load exerted on the nib is uniformized and dispersed, the fatigue strength is improved and the product quality is stabilized as well as the tool life is extended.
