Claims (1)
- 機体のハウジング側に固定された固定環に、回
転軸と共に回転する回転環を弾性的に押圧付勢し
て摺接させ、かつこの回転環の背面側に廻り止め
機能を備えたケースを介して前記回転軸の回転を
伝達するゴムベローズを設けるとともに、このゴ
ムベローズの屈曲部の一部を前記回転環の背面に
形成したテーパ状の内径空間に臨ませてなるメカ
ニカルシールにおいて、前記回転環のテーパ状の
内径空間に軸方向に沿うリング状の内径空間を連
続的に形成し、前記ゴムベローズの屈曲部とテー
パ状の内径空間との間の空隙に余裕を持たせたこ
とを特徴とするメカニカルシール。
