Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a stable humidifying amount, by a method wherein a filter, mounted in an endless belt state, a water tank in which one end of the filter is immersed, and a fan to feed air to the filter are situated between a drive roller and a driven roller, and resilient belts to exert tension on the filter are mounted on the whole peripheries of both ends of the filter. CONSTITUTION:A driven roller 3 is situated in a water tank 1, mounted on the lower part of an outer frame 2 and storing water, one end of a drive roller 4 is coupled to a motor 5 for the drive roller, and through rotation of the motor 5, a filter 6 is rotated. Air A sucked through a suction port 10 through rotation of a motor 9 for a fan is humidified during passage of it through the filter 6, and is discharged through a discharge port 11. In this case, the filter 6 is stretched by an increase in weight and expansion occasioned by absorption of water, but since a specified tension is exerted between the drive roller 3 and the driven roller 4 by means of the tension of resilient belts 7 mounted to the whole peripheries of both ends of the filter 6, the filter 6 is prevented from racing, and a stable humidifying amount can be provided through smooth rotation.
