Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the power generation efficiency without causing an increase in equipment cost, power consumption cost and maintenance by disposing a switch damper immediately after the outlet of a waste heat recovery boiler and a dual duct and a waste gas merging duct thereafter. CONSTITUTION:The combustion gas of a gas turbine 1 which drives a generator 2 to generate power passages through a waste gas recovery boiler 3 to enter into a waste gas duct 4. Respective waste gas ducts 4 are merged by a switch damper 10. The interior of the switch damper 10 is divided into two, and the waste gas enters into a dual duct 5 as it remains divided. The interior of the dual duct 5 is divided into two by a divider 6. The waste gas coming from respective systems merges in a merging area 7 near the root of a smoke stack and is introduced into a clustered smoke stack 8 to be released to the atmosphere from the top. Because the exhaust gas is merged under no pressure or in a negative pressure zone 7 near the root of a smoke stack, the exhaust system of the respective gas turbines retains functions as through they are individually connected to the smoke stack.
