Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a prepreg having stuffed fiber gaps and smooth surface and suitable for laminated board, in high efficiency, by impregnating a loose woven fabric with a polymer, sandwiching the fabric with releasing papers from both sides after drying the polymer and passing the impregnated fabric between hot rollers to obtain a compression molded flat product. CONSTITUTION:A woven fabric X having gaps between warps Xa and wefts Xb is passed through a polymer solution W (e.g. epoxy polymer) in an impregnation tank 1, transferred to a slit-controlling apparatus 2 to control the polymer content, dried in a drying tower 3, laminated with releasing papers Q supplied from a supplying part 6a to both surfaces of the fabric X, pressed with a roll ill 5 composed of a hot roll 5a and a press roll 5b to flatten the cross-section and cooled by a cooling means 7. After cooling, the releasing papers Q are released and wound with a winder 6b and the obtained objective prepreg is wound with a winder 4.
