Abstract

PURPOSE:To clean a rubber cylinder and an impression cylinder in a single process under a simple configuration in a short time by providing two cleaning rollers for a rubber cylinder and a single cleaning roller for an impression cylinder in a freely contacting/separating manner, and also providing a cleaning liquid supply means on one of cleaning rollers installed on the rubber cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning liquid is conducted into pipe 17 and sucked up, and during a sucking operation, cleaning rollers 3, 4, 5 are caused to rotate so that a cleaning roller 4 may be impregnated with a sufficient amount of cleaning liquid. The cleaning roller 4 is caused to come into contact with an impression cylinder 1 to clean the impression cylinder 2. When cleaning is performed, a rubber cylinder 2 and an impression cylinder 1 are caused to come into touch with each other, and thereby the cleaning liquid is transferred from the rubber cylinder 2 to the impression cylinder 1. After this, the impression cylinder 1 and the rubber cylinder 2 are separated. The cleaning rollers 3, 5 for wiping come into contact with the impression cylinder 1 and the rubber cylinder 2 to wipe off the liquid and let the rubber cylinder be dried. After completion of wiping, the cleaning rollers, impression cylinder and rubber cylinder are stopped to terminate the cleaning. As described above, it is possible to automatically perform the setting of cleaning timing to comply with printing conditions and the execution of printing in accordance with key operation through an operating panel.
