Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a biopolymer crystal with an extremely simple action, to simultaneously carry out plural crystal growth methods, and to effectively utilize the title crystal growth vessel in the preparation of the crystal in space by connecting a container for a biopolymer soln. and a container for a precipitant soln. by a specified method to form the vessel. CONSTITUTION:The biopolymer crystal growth vessel has the following structure. Namely, the vessel is provided with the first container for a biopolymer soln., the second container for a precipitant soln., a movable or extractable slide plate (e.g., stainless steel) for separating the openings of the first and second containers, the openings of which are arranged opposite to each other, a first O ring for sealing the space between the opening of the first container and the slide plate, and a second O ring for sealing the space between the opening of the second container and the slide plate. The opening of the first container and the opening of the second container are sealed through the first O ring and the second O ring after the slide plate is extracted or moved.
