Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an apparatus compact by forming a solid amine layer between the upper and lower chambers of each reactor and placing an electric heater on the bottom of the lower chamber and a demister in the lower chamber. CONSTITUTION:When a regenerating stage is carried out in a reactor A, a fixed quantity of water for regeneration is supplied from an inlet valve 31a, the supply of water is stopped and steam is generated by heating with a heater 26a. The generated steam condenses in a solid amine layer 22a to desorb adsorbed CO2. When a subsequent adsorbing stage is carried out in the reactor A, water staying in the solid amine layer 22a is pressed out and separated by collision in a demister 27a and CO2 in gas is adsorbed and removed. Since the demister and the steam generator are arranged in the lower chamber and integrated, the apparatus is made compact.
