Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a filter having small filtration resistance by calcining a layer of uncalcined ceramic base body formed by molding plus sieve of ceramic slurry contg. org. fibers after coating the surface with the slurry compounded with ceramic powder. CONSTITUTION:A layer of a base body of a multilayered ceramic filter is prepd. from plus sieve of slurry admixed with ceramic powder, an adhesive agent, and a coagulant while dispersing sufficient amt. of org. fiber in the water and stirring the mixture. The thickness of the base body layer is regulated to 0.1-1.5mm. On one hand, slurry to be used for a filter layer is prepd. by adding ceramic powder to a soln. of the adhesive agent. The slurry is applied to the surface of the uncalcined base body layer to obtain an uncalcined ceramic body, which is calcined after it is dried. Thus, a multilayered ceramic filter is produced.
