Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible, biodegradable and absorbable fiber or film, by using a copolymer wherein lactic acid and epsilon-caprolactone are mixed in a predetermined ratio. CONSTITUTION:A molded article composed of a lactic acid/epsilon-caprolactone copolymer contains 95-65mol.% of a lactic acid unit and 5-35mol.% of an epsilon- caprolactone unit and prepared by preparing a polymer solution by dissolving the copolymer containing 95-65mol.% of the lactic acid unit and 5-35mol.% of the epsilon-caprolactone unit in solvent and bringing the same into contact with a lower alcohol solution to coagulate the copolymer.
