Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate readjustment after completion of assembling/adjustment by carrying out preload adjustment of input/output shafts such that pressure regulation is carried out until predetermined performance is satisfied then backlash adjustment is carried out. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition where an input shaft 1 is pressurized, predetermined torque is applied onto one end of an output shaft 9 and rotary angle at the other end is measured, and then the pressure is regulated by a cap 40 until the rotary angle comes within a predetermined range. Then a torque necessary for rotating the input shaft 1 by a preset angle is measured, and the pressure is regulated by the cap 40 such that the torque comes within a predetermined range. Upon finish of these two preload regulations, the input shaft 1 is secured and axial load is applied on one end of the output shaft 9, then displacement of the output shaft is measured and backlash is regulated until the displacement comes within a predetermined range.
