Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a recording image having superior resistance to water, resistance to wear, shelf stability, etc., by a method wherein, two ink-absorption layers are provided, and the liquid through properties of the upper ink-absorption layer is made at least twice that of the lower ink-absorption layer. CONSTITUTION:A recording material is basically recorded on an upper ink- absorption layer of a recording side with an ink, and the recorded image is observed from a lower ink-absorption layer. Therefore, the upper ink-absorption layer having liquid permeability at least twice the lower ink-absorption layer functions to rapidly absorb and transmit the ink applied on the surface thereof. On the other hand, the lower layer functions to absorb and substantially hold the ink or recording agent transferred from the upper layer. Therefore, the upper layer is composed by selecting a material having wetting, infiltrating, and diffusing characteristics, etc., to an ink medium and failing in absorbing, infiltrating, and reacting characteristics, etc., to the recording agent. The lower layer is composed of a material stably absorbing and trapping the ink temporarily absorbed into the upper layer and having a high affinity for the recording material as well as for the ink medium.
