Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a film, prominent in both of reeling style and anti-scraping property, by a method wherein the ratio of the average grain size of inert inorganic particles contained in a polyester film to the thickness of a polymer layer, containing no inert inorganic particle substantially, is limited within a specified range while the volume of effective spaces, produced by the projections on the surface of the film, is also limited in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A polymer layer, having the thickness of 0.01C-0.5C (unit is mum) and containing no inert inorganic particles substantially, is provided on at least one side of a film having the principal constituent of a composite consisting of polyester and inert inorganic particles having an average grain size C (mum). In this case, the volume of effective spaces, produced by projections on said surface, it limited within the range of 1X10<3>-5X10<5>. According to this method, the shock absorbing capacity of the projections, existing on the surface of the film, may be improved. Accordingly, the film, prominent both in the reeling style as well as in the anti-scraping property thereof, may be obtained.
