Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent efflorescence from developing and obtain a decorating method excellent in bond strength by a method wherein inorganic coating, which is prepared by blending colloidal silica with white cement as basic compound in the specified blending ratio, is applied onto the surface of an inorganic plate material, the main raw material of which is cement, so as to be cured and hardened. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic coating, which is prepared by blending 1.5-7.5 parts by weight of colloidal silica per 100 parts by weight of white cement, is applied onto the surface of an inorganic plate material, the main raw material of which is cement, and, immediately after that, steam-cured at high temperature and pressure, for example, by an autoclave. As the colloidal silica, fine particles, the particle diameter of which is 0.1-0.001mum and SiO2 content of which is 20-30%, is used. Under the above-mentioned conditions, no development of efflorescence develops at all on the surface of the decorative top layer of the obtained plate-like body. Further, on the peel strength test (checkers test) of the decorative surface layer, favorable adherence is recognized.
