Abstract

PURPOSE:To control molecular weight and readily and industrially obtain the titled oligopeptide in high yield, by adding a proteolytic enzyme to a solution of an L-acidic amino acid ester and polymerizing the above-mentioned amino acid ester. CONSTITUTION:(B) A proteolytic enzyme (e.g. papain or trypsin) capable of producing in oligopeptide in an amount of preferably 1-1,000muM is added to (A) a solution of an L-acidic amino acid ester (e.g. alpha,gamma-dimethyl L-glutamate), preferably in 10-100mM concentration and polymerization in carried out at, e.g. pH6-11 and 10-70 deg.C reaction temperature, to provide a reaction solution having preferably 2-5 polymerization degree. The resultant reaction solution is subjected to, e.g. centrifugation, to afford the aimed oligopeptide.
