PURPOSE:To suitably grasp the situation of the entire conference by providing each television conference room with a controller to control, from a distant place, a matrix image switcher to concentrate and switch images from the participating television conference rooms. CONSTITUTION:At the television conference rooms 11-1n, scene photographing television cameras 21-2n, scene displaying monitors 31-3n, and the controllers 41-4n to control the matrix image switchers from a distance, are provided. A device 5, according to a selection operation through, for instance, the controller 41 at the conference room 11, supplies a signal from its drive part 6 to a matrix switch part 7, so that a selected image is displayed on the monitor 31. Similarly, arbitrary images are respectively displayed on the monitors 32-3n according to selection operation through the controllers 42-4n at the respective conference rooms 12-1n. As a result, the situation of the entire conference can be suitably grasped, and the efficiency of the conference can be improved.
