Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute the retrieval in a short time by managing an iD information base by dividing it into blocks at every data, bringing an item related to the data to address conversion, and reading out a retrieval use memory only with respect to a partial area. CONSTITUTION:iD information which has been inputted from a keyboard 7 is accumulated in an iD accumulation buffer 5 through a control part 1, and this data is transferred to a magnetic disk 4 and stored at every data. In case of executing the retrieval, a data and a name, an iD number, etc. of the iD information to be retrieved are inputted from the keyboard 7. In this state, information for showing the data is transferred to an address converting part 2, and the data is converted to an address of the disk 4 and transferred to a disk controller 3. In the controller 3, in accordance with this address, a direct access is applied to the disk 4 and only information of a partial area shown by the address is transferred to a retrieval memory 6. Also, a retrieval key except the inputted data is transferred to the memory 6 from the control part 1, the retrieval is executed and the iD information concerned is accumulated in a buffer 10 through the control part 1, and its information is displayed on a CRT 8.
