Abstract
PURPOSE:To actively execute a temperature control in an artificial satellite, and to facilitate a thermal design by providing plural pairs of p-type semiconductors and n-type semiconductors, a closed cycle heat conduction medium, and a thermal louver for radiating the heat of this medium. CONSTITUTION:When minus and plus electrodes of a DC power source 6 are connected to heat-radiating and heat-absorbing plates 4, 5, respectively, by a switch 7, a heat-radiating and heat-absorbing plate 1 is cooled by a Peltier effect, and the heat-absorbing plates 4, 5 are heated. If a switch controller 8 is operated by a signal from house keeping and the switch 7 is switched, the heat radiation and heat absorption are reversed. That is, when the minus power source, and the plus power source are connected to the heat-absorbing plate 4, and the heat-absorbing plate 5, respectively, the heat-absorbing plate 1 is cooled, and freon gas flowing in a closed pipe 10 is cooled, therefore, by a thermal louver 11, a heat absorption in an artificial satellite is generated and it is cooled. On the other hand, freon gas in a pipe 12 is heated by the heat-absorbing plate 4 and 5, and brought to heat radiation at the outside of the artificial satellite body. By switching the switch 7, the inside of the artificial satellite body is heated.
