Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily correct a shift in optical axis due to movement by providing a reflecting mirror for separating part of projection light toward the light reflecting liquid surface of a reference plane device and a fitting part for fitting a reflecting mirror separately from or integrally with the autocollimator. CONSTITUTION:The optical axis setting device 1 consists of the reference plane device 2, reflecting mirror 3, and fitting part 4 for fitting the autocollimator 5. Then when the optical axis AO is horizontal, light passes through an optical path A O B O A and returns to the point A. If the autocollimator 5 slants by an angle theta from a horizontal surface as shown by CO, light from the autocollimator 5 passes through an optical path C O D O' E and travels to a point E without returning to the point C. Here, when the initial setting of the optical axis of the autocollimator 5 is set to the horizontal, the attitude of the autocollimator 5 is adjusted by an attitude adjusting device to move the optical axis from the CO to AO. Consequently, even when the autocollimator 5 is moved, its shift of the optical axis is easily corrected.
