CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a laser 11 is restricted to a point A with a convex lens 12, and the image of the point A is formed at the point C on an optical axis 19 by a convex lens 13. A cylindrical vessel 16 contg. mercury 17 is provided in the optical path thereof and the center of the vessel 16 is made coincident with the optical axis 19. Then, when the optical axis 19 inclines by an angle theta to the vertical line, the angle assumed by the incident light and the reflected light at a reflection point B is 2theta. The reflected light is reflected with a semitransparent mirror 15 to flex the optical path thereof, by which the image- forming point C of the point A is shifted to the position of a point D. The lens 14 is installed so as to locate the point D on the focal plane 21 of the lens 14, whereby the laser beam is paralleled.
