Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title trouble section locating system which performs high- accuracy locating operation in bad environment by handling a current as a vector quantity and a phase as a scalar. CONSTITUTION:A device consists of a current sensor 4, an optical fiber 3, a multiplex transmitter 5, an optical fiber 2 in an OPGW (optical fiber composite overhead ground- wire), an optical receiving circuit 6, and a trouble evaluating function arithmetic circuit 7. Then a trouble current which is measured by a sensor 4 provided in each constant section and flows through a GW (overhead ground-wire) is sent to a central monitor office such as a substation by using the OPGW and an index indicating the possibility of trouble in each section is found from the current value and phase of the trouble current. Then a function for evaluating the possibility of the trouble which includes the index as a variable is calculated for each section and the section where the value is maximum is located as a trouble section. In this case, the current is handled as the vector quantity and the phase is handled as the scalar to make the current value difference clear. For the purpose, a GW current distribution diagram is analyzed by using this function to locate the trouble section, and then even if the GW current distribution diagram deviates greatly from a logical value, the locating accuracy never decreases.
