Abstract
PURPOSE:To endure thermal striping by applying an austenitic stainless steel sintered bodies in a protecting ring which is a thermal shield. CONSTITUTION:A connecting shaft 17 of austenitic stainless steel of a tubular body is fixed on the top of a protecting tube 22 of a control rod 16. A protecting ring 1 composed of a cylindrical austenitic stainless steel (SUS 316 equivalent) sintered body whose inside diameter can afford a gap between the connecting shaft 17 and the protecting ring 1 to loosely engage with the connecting shaft 17. Further thermal striping acts. For example, an austenitic stainless steel sintered body is formed as a protecting member corresponding to the shape of a protecting object of an upper core internal structure and the like. Therefore, the structure can endure thermal striping.
