Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable characteristic without an increase in a leakage current and without the occurrence of a disconnection by a method wherein electrode foil and lead terminal are connected by an ultrasonic welding operation and a solid electrolyte composed of a TCNQ salt is heated, melted and impregnated. CONSTITUTION:A heated and melted TCNQ salt is used as a solid electrolyte; anode foil 3 is connected to an anode lead terminal 4 by an ultrasonic welding operation. The anode foil 3 is superposed on the anode lead terminal 4; the anode foil 3 and the anode lead terminal 4 are sandwiched and fixed by using an oscillator 9 and a fixing tool 10; the oscillator 9 is oscillated at an oscillation frequency of 27.5kHz, frictional heat is generated at an interface between the anode foil 3 and the anode lead wire 4; after that, both faces of these parts are bonded due to inter-molecular coupling; accordingly, a connection state of the anode foil 3 and the anode lead terminal 4 is extremely stable; a breakdown of an anodic oxidation film on the surface other than a face to be bonded of both the anode toil 3 and the anode lead terminal 4 at the oscillator 9 and the fixing tool 10 can be reduced to a minimum. A solid electrolytic capacitor using the heated and melted TCNQ salt as the solid electrolyte reduces a leakage current remarkably and a low impedance value at a high frequency is realized.
