Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a disk large in capacity possible to be CLV-driven, by making a pre-recorded pit interval relate to the constant pitch of a track so that proper information and rotational phase information at every pit string led by pits arranged linearly in a radiant direction can be supplied. CONSTITUTION:Plural pits 43 are arranged irregularly with equal intervals on a spiral center line 42 which separates adjacent tracks 31 virtually in an unerasable state successively. Also, plural pit strings per one revolution led by the pits 43 arranged linearly in the radiant direction are formed. In such a case, a pit interval (l) which becomes the minimum unit distance is set at a value given as l=2pi.P/N assuming the number of pit strings existing per one revolution on the disk as N, and the constant pitch of the track 31 as P. In such a way, it is possible to obtain the disk without generating a phase difference even in track jump by using CLV driving large in recording capacity.
