Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a cable from damage and to facilitate wire laying work, by arranging small rollers in arch and moving a shoe chain having V-groove for containing the cable thereon. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of small rollers 3 are arranged in arch with specific curvature. A shoe chain 12 coupling a plurality of shoes 2 is fixed movably onto the small rollers 3. A V-groove for containing a cable 11 is formed in the surface of each shoe 2 which does not contact with the small rollers 3. The portion where the shoe chain 12 is contacting with the roller 3 is arched corresponding by to the arch of the rollers 3, thus providing a metal wire laying wheel 1. When such wire laying metal wheel 1 is fixed to a steel tower, optical fiber ground wire (OPGW) can be laid without being damaged.
