Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance comfortability in a cabin by enlarging an air volume diffused from a defroster over an air volume supplied from a foot diffuser, depending upon the required diffusion temperature. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner for a vehicle has a mode for diffusing air from both a defroster diffuser 40 and a foot diffuser 44. In this case, an air volume control means 13 is provided for changing ratio of an air volume delivered from the defroster diffuser 40 to an air volume delivered from the foot diffuser 44, depending upon the required diffusion temperature A. And said ratio is made to vary depending upon the required diffusion temperature A. Or the ratio of a defroster diffusion air volume is increased, depending upon a rise in the required diffusion temperature A. According to the aforesaid construction, the diffusion of more air from the defroster diffusion 40 than necessary is eliminated and comfortability in a cabin is enhanced.
