Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the stripping process of a covered electric wire end and the soldering process to a terminal section unnecessary by press-fitting the covered electric wire into a groove, cutting a cover with the inner edge of the groove, and conductively contacting the exposed electric wire to a connection receiving metal with a groove bottom and connecting it. CONSTITUTION:When the end of a covered electric wire 4 is press-fitted into the groove 7 of a connection receiving metal 6 with a finger tip or the like, a cover 4' is pressed from the wide opening of the inner edge of the V-shaped groove 7 toward the narrow lower section, thus an inner electric wire 4'' is exposed, the exposed electric wire 4'' is conductively contacted with the inner edge of the groove 7, i.e., the connection receiving metal 6, and the electric wire is effectively connected to the connection receiving metal 6, i.e., a contact spring piece (a). This connection state is stably held by the elastic cover 4' remaining on the electric wire when the electric wire 4'' is press-fitted and clamped at the narrow position on the bottom of the groove 7. The stripping process of the covered electric wire end and the soldering process to a terminal section a' are made unnecessary when the covered electric wire 4 is to be connected to the contact spring piece (a) of a leaf switch.
