Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an oxide superconductor with good quality by depositing a ternary compound film containing two kinds of specific elements and Cu on a substrate coated with a metal oxide thin film. CONSTITUTION:A metal oxide film 12 is formed on a substrate 11, and an oxide film 13 containing the element A, element B, and Cu at the mole ratio of elements of 0.5<=[(A+B)/Cu]<=2.5 is deposited on this film 12, where A is at least one kind of Sc, Y, and lanthanoide series elements (atomic number 57-71), and B is at least one kind of IIa group elements. An oxide superconductor with good quality can be thereby formed.
