Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a computing element for hue adjustment and to reduce the scale of a circuit by shifting the phase of a chrominance subcarrier in the stage of chrominance subcarrier generation and adjusting the hue. CONSTITUTION:An R-Y chrominance subcarrier generating circuit 24 and a B-Y chrominance subcarrier generating circuit 25 have quad counters and memories. The memories are stored with digital values of the chrominance subcarrier by the positions of a clock CP and the digital values are stored as many as hue adjustment steps of a hue adjustment switch 26 although the digital values are different according to the steps. Then information on a clock position in specific phase with a color burst signal and information on a hue adjustment step position set by an operation means are used as address signals to read data out of the memories, and the read data are supplied as digital chrominance subcarriers to digital color demodulators 8 and 12. Consequently, any special hue adjusting circuit is not required as a following circuit and the circuit scale is reduced.
