Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an oxide superconducting material having improved current density by melting a mixture having a compsn. within an area of a triangular diagram with Y2O3+BaO, CuO, and B2O3 as three vertices, cooling quickly the mixture under a specified condition, and executing heat-treatment and extraction with an acid successively. CONSTITUTION:The mixture having a compsn. within an area of a triangular diagram having (A)2O3+(B)O, (C)O, and B2O3 as three vertices is melted, wherein (A) is a mixture of at least one kind selected from Ac, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, etc.; (B) is a mixture of at least one kind selected from Ba, Sr, and Ca; (C) is Cu or a mixture of Cu with at least one kind selected from Ti V, Cr, Mn, Fe, etc. Then, the melted product is transformed to an amorphous material by cooling quickly, and fine particles of an O-deficient triple perovskite structure are deposited by heat-treating at 700-1,000 deg.C, and the product is extracted with an acid. By this process, fine particles of an oxide superconducting material having shape anisotropy are obtd. and the current density is improved.
