Abstract
PURPOSE:To speed up selector operation as well as to make machining efficiency improvable by making an energizing terminal and a wire electrode connected via an energizing cable suitable for machining so as to be automatically conducted to the general or high precision working power circuit. CONSTITUTION:At the time of general machining for roughing or the like, a power selector switch 21 selects a general working pulse power circuit 15 for operation, and when this switch 21 selects the circuit 15, an air valve 24 is in a state of being closed, so that each of air cylinders 22, 23 is in an off-state and a rod is in retraction. Consequently, a wire electrode 2 is fed forward as coming into contact with general working current-carrying tips 7 and 8. Accordingly, power is fed to a machining gap via current-energizing cables 13, 14 and 19 in low inductance. Next, at the time of high precision machining, the switch 21 selects a high precision working circuit 18 for operation, and when it selects this circuit 18, the valve 24 is opened, and each of these cylinders 22 and 23 is in an on-state and the rod is in protuberance, so that the electrode 2 is fed forward as coming into contact with high precision working tips 9 and 10. Consequently, power supply to the machining gap is performed by cables 16, 17 and 20, thus surface roughness is in no case damaged.
