交換器の開口部分に配置された圧縮機と、この圧
縮機、前記熱交換器及び前記平面材に囲まれた空
間内に、前記熱交換器を通過する風方向と直角方
向に送風するように配置された送風機とを有する
ことを特徴とする。

3の開口部分には横形圧縮機4が配置されてい
る。又、圧縮機4、熱交換器3及び平面材1で囲
まれた空間内には、送風機5が配置されている。
この送風機5によつて、室外ユニツトの周囲にあ
る空気は、第2図の矢印6の如く熱交換器3の周
囲より熱交換器3を通つて室外ユニツトの内部に
吸い込まれ、この室外ユニツトの内部に吸い込ま
れた空気は、第1図の矢印7の如く矢印6(第2
図)方向と直角方向に吐出される。

では、第2図のフランジ面2に設けられた引掛用
穴2a,2bによつて引つ掛ける例を示し、この
場合、圧縮機4は横形圧縮機であるが、第2図の
フランジ面2′に設けられた引掛用穴2b,2c
によつて外壁等に引つ掛けることもできる。この
とき、圧縮機4は縦形圧縮機となる。即ち本構成
によれば横形、縦形のどちらの圧縮機にも対応で
きる汎用性を有している。更に、風回路は、空気
を熱交換器3の周囲の3方から吸い込んで、外壁
等の密着面と反対方向の開放側へ吐出する方式な
ので、通風抵抗が少なく、熱交換器3以外を通る
風がほとんどなく、熱交換器3の熱交換効率も良
い。
