Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to implement mounting with flow solder, by providing an elastic plate between a rotor and an insulating substrate, and tightly enclosing a resistor and a slider. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of conductive metal wires 18 are inserted and molded in the direction of the thickness along the entire surface of a disk shaped elastic plate 17 comprising silicone rubber, resin and the like so that the metal wires are exposed on the upper and rear surfaces of the plate. The elastic plate 17 is provided between the rotor 15 and an insulating substrate 1. The elastic plate 17 is compressed on the insulating substrate 1 with skirt parts 15c and 15d at the inside and the outside of the rotor 15. A contact point 16b of a slider 16 is compressed on the elastic plate 17 and electrically connected to a resistor 2 through the metal wires 18 at all the rotating positions. Therefore, the resistor 2 is covered with the elastic plate 17 and tightly enclosed. The slider 16 is contained in the tightly closed part, which is formed with the rotor 15 and the elastic plate 17. Thus the mounting with flow solder can be implemented.
