Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and accurately adjust a recording level at the time of dubbing an analog regenerative audio signal of a recording medium by outputting the audio signal at a fixed level based on output audio data of an audio data generator instead of the regenerative audio signal in accordance with the changeover of an audio data changeover switch. CONSTITUTION:When a dubbing record is performed, its audio signal is outputted based on the audio data of a reference audio signal at a prescribed level outputted from the audio data generator 6 in place of the regenerative audio signal of the recording medium, by changing the audio data changeover switch 10 over to the side of the audio data generator 6 at the time of adjusting the recording level, and the level of the audio signal to be outputted thereupon is kept at an equivalent level to the max. level or an appropriately certain level of the regenerative audio signal based on the prescribed level. For example, by reading the level of the inputted audio signal by means of a level meter on a recorder, the max. level of the regenerative audio signal generated during the dubbing operation is accurately grasped, so that the adjustment of the recording level can thus be performed.
