Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the heat transfer characteristics in good order and prevent the elution of copper ions into the supply hot water by applying a covering layer made of a fluorine resin on the inner face of a pipe passage for circulating the supply hot water, namely, a copper pipe and fixing the connecting section of the copper pipe by soft soldering of low temperature. CONSTITUTION:A water heater 7 in which the supply hot water circulates consists of a copper pipe which is applied groove-machining uniformly in the longitudinal direction of the inside of the pipe and covered with a resin layer 16 which is a mixture of fluorine resin and rubber. After the copper pipe is worked flat, the copper pipe and a condensation pipe passage 2 are stacked and wound spirally with both pipes being alternated one after another. Further, for a U-bend 11 and outlet pipe 13 which are connected to the water heater 7 copper pipes are used which are covered with a resin layer 16. The inlet pipe 7-1 or the outlet pipe 7-0 of the water heater 7 and the U-bend 11 or an outlet pipe 13 are held respectively in abutting positions through a copper socket 14 and those abutting sections are connected by a soft solder of low melting point temperature. All the inner face with which the supply hot water makes contact is covered with a resin film, and because there is no contact between the copper pipe and the supply hot water, it is possible to prevent the elution of copper ions into the supply hot water and avoid the problem of blue water.
